The Evil Within, originally bore the working name of Zwei, is a mix of survival horror action game with a TPP. In the course of the investigation, the protagonist is suddenly attacked and loses his consciousness. Upon waking up, the accompanying police officer is killed before him. Then begins a journey into darkness, and the real fight for survival in a world full of aggressive and bloodthirsty monsters begins.

During the game, there are no dramatic twists and turns. The storyline is based primarily on the theme of mystery and madness. The atmosphere of being hunted and depression is built gradually. The creators carefully balanced the gameplay elements, so that the player could feel the lurking danger at every step. The atmosphere is not turned up by strong storyline turbulences, but slow discovery of the mysteries of the scary town.
In The Evil Within the action is mainly linear, and locations that we visit during this dark journey are claustrophobic. Later on during the campaign, there are more open spaces where we are given more freedom. The surroundings change when the player least expects it. The protagonist often has visions like those from the FEAR series, during which disturbing things happen to him. Sweeping the darkest corners of corridors should not be associated with a walk for the game is filled with brutality and blood very often pours in hectoliters and is splashed from the bodies of the living dead.

The developers limited the interface to a minimum: we do not see anything there, except for the health indicator and a thumbnail of currently used weapon with the number of rounds left. The gameplay in The Evil Within is not simply about shooting . Tango Gameworks also offers the option of stealth with the ability to use objects to distract the zombies and other creatures. Grand Theft Auto 5 ( GTA 5 ), much like its immediate predecessor, GTA 4, is too almost-modern for its own good. While the setting taking place today, the action goes back a few years back, in the depths of the Great Recession, the story feeling dated, but not in the good way of Vice City or San Andreas, these being intentionally made to look retro.

Los Santos is stuningly realized, this by looking at it as a technical achievement. The city and the surroundings rural environs form the most realistic depiction of a metropolitan area to ever grace a game. The whole burg lives and breathes, offering colorful slices of life whether you're creeping in the backyards in the dark of the night or just wandering down the sidewalk in the middle of the day. But it's so big. I long for the simpler layouts of Vice City and even the more sprawling San Andreas. You could get to know them in a reasonable amount of time, which added to that easy sense of familiarity that turned them into real places.

Grand Theft AUto 5 Gameplay

The script is brilliant, from the start with Franklin and his idiotic buddy Lamar, through Michael's spoiled-brat family life, through Trevor's meth-lab murders, through the multiple-choice endings. GTAV gets back to the psychopathic comic strip best represented in the craziness of Tommy Vercetti in Vice City, but with more plot points and tighter characterizations to hold the story together. This game hates everyone and everything, expressing an unrelentingly bleak, black-hearted look at humanity, with even the few rays of sunlight bookended by atrocity. Trevor shows mercy on occasion, though the biggest act of charity he offers in the entire game comes right after introducing a guy to creative uses for a car battery and a monkey wrench. If you have a dark sense of humor, there are more laugh-out-loud moments here than in all of the previous GTA games combined. Being able to switch between the members of this trio at will is a great mechanic that accentuates the humor. Flipping over to see what Trevor is doing almost always results in tuning in to pure insanity. My favorite such event was dropping in on him just as he was looming over a bikini-clad girl on Vespucci Beach, while wearing nothing but a filthy muscle shirt and tighty whities, saying something about her licking his white bits. Such moments are likely scripted, given how this Walter White moment led directly into a mission opening where Trevor dropped his undies in front of hapless Floyd, but it all seems organic when you're playing. Missions have also been laid out almost perfectly, with loads of options as to how you play them, especially when it comes to the big multipart heists that see you planning and executing jobs with the help of hired operatives. Events get overly surreal at times, with the trio working together to form something of a James Bond team adept at everything from flying planes to scuba diving. Still, it's all incredibly captivating, and the game does everything at least reasonably well. Flying and landing planes, for instance, still aren't fully enjoyable tasks, but they've come a long way since San Andreas.

In the begining of the game it is made clear to the player that this isn't a simple tale of good vs evil > karl is a german citizen living in France with his wife and newborn son and as the war starts he is forced to separate from his family and go back to Germany, where he must join the war effort. At the same time, his father-in-law, Emile, is conscripted into the French forces. neither of them are motivated to enlist for fighting a war, but as it often happens in war, they are both ordinary people who are caught in a connflict that is beyond their control.
The game course puts you in both Karl's and Emile's shoes, as well as in a Belgian's nurse namend Anna and a American's named Freddie who enlist with the French forces. These characters aren't traditional action heroes; Emile, for instance, has to scramble and strugle a bit to get himself to pass over obstacles, and instead of running and gunning thei way through the game's side-scrolling stages, characters solve a series of enviromental puzzles to proceed.

These puzzles cleverly find many different ways to combine simple elements like tossing objects to distract enemies, pulling levers to activate machinery and issuing commands to their devoted dog, Walt, that accompanies them. Throughout the stages, you can find collectibles that shed light on the historical realities of the war, making the conditions in wich the soldiers engage in trench warfare better, or the ways that the war affected the rights and workplace responsibilities of women.

Under pressure, the controls don't let you down. Movement is crisp and there's a dependable consistency to the physics. Handbrake turns and other driving tricks are easily mastered, so you never feel like the game is working against you. Splattering through a few zombies has impact, but get bogged down in a crowd and you'll need to use nitros to power on through in a spray of gore.

The action is set in the realities of World War II, again. This time, however, the developers abandoned the European locations and instead put the campaign in the areas of Africa. The protagonist did not change. It is still Karl Fishburne, a sharpshooter working for the U.S. military command. The single player mode consists of a series of missions, mostly involving the elimination of a particular target. The road to it is always difficult and often requires sneaking between enemy troops and silently killing enemy soldiers. We can also launch a frontal attack which will draw attention of all the nearby patrols.
The creators also significantly improved the X-ray camera, which now shows not only damage to the skeleton, but also the muscles and the circulatory system. A greater level of detail also included vehicles. Eliminating tanks and armored trucks now requires the destruction of a few components before we get a chance to finish them with the last bullet. Mousecraft is a charming, slick and challenging puzzler. An excellent mix of deep and casual play that allows you to tax your brain while on a commute – the video game equivalent of a sudoku or crossword.

The basic premise is the kind of thing you’d get if you mashed Chu Chu Rocket together with Lemmings – guiding three mice from their wheel to a cheesy prize while avoiding deadly hazards. These hazards come in six flavours: gravity, water, acid, evil robotic rats – they have a proper name but this is what happens when you don’t take detailed enough notes -, electric blocks, and explosions – which explode.
The visuals and music are also really smooth: the game looks great and the cartoony backgrounds are fully dynamic and bursting with character. The backgrounds and level skins change every twenty levels to avoid becoming dull (so with eighty levels you get four backgrounds), although it’s a little disappointing that these chunks provide a purely visual difference and have no influence on any of the mechanics or themes present in the levels themselves. The music reminded me a lot of the Worms franchise, which is absolutely ideal for this kind of game. It’s chirpy and tuneful without being distracting.

There are 80 of them, so mathematically speaking – players will have to guide at least 80 mice to the cheese, to complete the game and discover why the machine is so important to our crazy cat scientist.
