Zombie Driver HD Game Review :

Originally released for PC in 2009 and now enhanced with more missions and gameplay improvements, Zombie Driver's visuals have the fine detail and granular physics you'd expect from that platform. There can be dozens of zombies on-screen at any time, explosions are plentiful and spectacular, and simply ploughing through a swarm of gutmunchers at high speed, reducing them to sticky red paste and meaty chunks, is a tangible joy.

Eventually you find the game's pulse and can start to clear areas with greater efficiency, even as your efforts are hampered by different zombie types. Hulking brutes will hammer your armour if you let them get close. Others will lob chunks of masonry, chipping away at your protection. Worst are the crudely named Fat Zombies - basically Boomers on loan from Left 4 Dead. These detonate when you get close, taking huge chunks off your life bar. All are easily dispatched, but en masse they can be deceptively dangerous. Just as zombies should be.

Under pressure, the controls don't let you down. Movement is crisp and there's a dependable consistency to the physics. Handbrake turns and other driving tricks are easily mastered, so you never feel like the game is working against you. Splattering through a few zombies has impact, but get bogged down in a crowd and you'll need to use nitros to power on through in a spray of gore.

The action is set in the realities of World War II, again. This time, however, the developers abandoned the European locations and instead put the campaign in the areas of Africa. The protagonist did not change. It is still Karl Fishburne, a sharpshooter working for the U.S. military command. The single player mode consists of a series of missions, mostly involving the elimination of a particular target. The road to it is always difficult and often requires sneaking between enemy troops and silently killing enemy soldiers. We can also launch a frontal attack which will draw attention of all the nearby patrols.
The creators also significantly improved the X-ray camera, which now shows not only damage to the skeleton, but also the muscles and the circulatory system. A greater level of detail also included vehicles. Eliminating tanks and armored trucks now requires the destruction of a few components before we get a chance to finish them with the last bullet. What is interesting, the best vehicles hits are shown with a film camera that follows the projectile, and then shows the mechanical damage. Another attraction is the development system. Depending on the effectiveness of ours, it assigns experience points, which then we spend on improving our equipment and weaponry.

Mousecraft is a charming, slick and challenging puzzler. An excellent mix of deep and casual play that allows you to tax your brain while on a commute – the video game equivalent of a sudoku or crossword.

The basic premise is the kind of thing you’d get if you mashed Chu Chu Rocket together with Lemmings – guiding three mice from their wheel to a cheesy prize while avoiding deadly hazards. These hazards come in six flavours: gravity, water, acid, evil robotic rats – they have a proper name but this is what happens when you don’t take detailed enough notes -, electric blocks, and explosions – which explode.
The visuals and music are also really smooth: the game looks great and the cartoony backgrounds are fully dynamic and bursting with character. The backgrounds and level skins change every twenty levels to avoid becoming dull (so with eighty levels you get four backgrounds), although it’s a little disappointing that these chunks provide a purely visual difference and have no influence on any of the mechanics or themes present in the levels themselves. The music reminded me a lot of the Worms franchise, which is absolutely ideal for this kind of game. It’s chirpy and tuneful without being distracting.

While Schrödinger may not look like a very bright kitten, he placed a piece of cheese in every part of his machine, so every time a mouse reaches the cheese a button is being pressed and a part of the machine is being activated. Like every great scientist, Schrödinger does not care about money. In fact, he’s doing this all for sake of science. After multiple attempts on making his project work, he eventually run dry and is forced to spend his all savings to buy the few last pieces of cheese. Placed sparingly, these last pieces of cheese could be Schrödinger’s last chance to see his invention come to life, but it’s only going to work if the mice can actually find their way. That’s where the player comes in, to help get Schrödinger’s invention running. To achieve that, every part of the machine must be functional. There are 80 of them, so mathematically speaking – players will have to guide at least 80 mice to the cheese, to complete the game and discover why the machine is so important to our crazy cat scientist.

Guacamelee! is a 2D action/exploration platformer about wrestling monsters, but in terms of gameplay structure, it takes cues from a variety of sources. Like in the Metroid series, you scour large labyrinthine zones seeking new techniques which often serve multiple purposes. A flying uppercut will not only help in combat but also work as a limited double jump to help you reach new areas. There is even a power-up that allows you to "Morph Ball" into a chicken to explore pipes and crevices.

Though there are several direct allusions to Metroid here (the Chozo statues are particularly blatant), the game actually has more in common with Cave Story. While the Metroid games are generally solitary affairs, Guacamelee! often punctuates successful battles and discovery of new areas with cutscenes that come alive with a variety of charming and memorable characters.

The story focuses on a regular man named Juan who sacrifices his life while attempting to save the local politician's daughter from being kidnapped by a well-dressed skeleton. They stay true to the Mexican setting while carrying their own unique flair (and plenty of tiny shout outs to other games in this vein, like Castle Crashers, Mario, Mega Man, Majora's Mask, and more). The music is similarly high fructose while maintaining a serious sense of top-notch craftmanship.

The latest entry in the Transformers video game franchise will tell a story that crosses between three different Transformers universes.
